John describes Jesus’ ministry to have taken about four years and having made several trips to Jerusalem (Harris, 2008). However, the synoptic gospels talk about only one trip by Jesus to Jerusalem and suggest that His ministry lasted for only one year. It is critical to note that, the synoptic gospel describe the events that they witnessed unlike John who is telling what he witnessed earlier.
